I don’t care what your beliefs are, whether you believe in god, ants, or sponge bob, ultimately I see it to be irrelevant if you find yourself as being unhappy.  A lot of us use beliefs as an excuse to suffer, as if that’s just the way it’s suppose to be.  Beliefs are a tool to assist you in this experience called life, they are not the end all and be all.  If it scares you to release certain beliefs, then be prepared to live in fear as you continue to cling to them.

.

For myself, releasing the attachment that the end result is heaven or a fiery hell, has been the greatest liberation towards my personal growth, allowing me to draw value from all of life and not just one socially popular belief structure.  What attachments are you holding on to?  What beliefs create fear when you think about letting them go? See the chatter of what goes on in your mind as an instrument that needs tuning; and understand that in your uniqueness, you may very well end up believing differently then other people, and that’s okay.
